STROUT WINS $20,000 STORY PRIZE

Pulitzer Prize winner Elizabeth Strout has won a major award for short stories.
The 62 year old Maine native picked up the $20,000 Story Prize last night in New York for her collection “Anything is Possible.”

She won the 2009 Pulitzer for her novel “Olive Kitteridge”  which was adapted into a miniseries starring Frances McDormand.

Strout is also the author of the “The Burgess Boys.”

The Story Prize was established in 2004.
