"WOODY'S" CREATOR IN TOY STORY DIES

The Oscar-nominated animator who worked on films like “A Bug’s Life”, “Monsters, Inc”, and “Cars” and who designed “Toy Story’s” Woody has died.
Bud Luckey also voiced characters including Chuckles the Clown in “Toy Story 3” and  Eeyore in 2011’s “Winnie the Pooh.”

Luckey made his name working for Sesame Street where he was responsible for the popular animated counting songs.

He joined Pixar in 1992 as just the fifth animator hired by the company and was nominated for an Oscar in 2004 for his short film “Boundin’.”

Luckey died in a hospice in Connecticut after a long illness.  He was 83.
