Doug Ford will run for the leadership of the Ontario Tories, making the announcement just days after Patrick Brown resigned amid sexual misconduct allegations.

In announcing his bid at his mother’s Etobicoke home, the former city councillor and failed mayoral candidate said he wants to prevent the party from falling into the hands of ”insiders” and ”elites”.
Ford claims these ”elites” are disconnected from the grassroots of the party and don’t care about the average Ontarian.
The brother of late former mayor Rob Ford says he would be the candidate to ”clean up the mess”.
With his family at his side Doug Ford did not take any reporters questions but promised to answer them in ”days to come”.
