MUSCLE SHOALS LEGEND DEAD AT 85

A pioneering producer of Alabama’s Muscle Shoals sound and the founder of FAME Recording Studios has died.
Rick Hall worked with some of music’s giants including  Etta James,  Aretha Franklin and Canada’s Paul Anka.
Hall first gained success as a songwriter, founded Fame Records in the 1950’s and originally orchestrated the studio’s house band, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section.
Hall died of cancer at the age of 85.
