The OPP has launched a truck blitz in the Greater Toronto Area today to gather information on why the province has experienced a number of fatal tractor trailer collisions in recent weeks.

Earlier this month a fiery 14 car pile-up on the 400 took three lives in a chain reaction crash that began when a transport hit the rear end of another big rig.

Sgt. Kerry Schmidt is riding around in an OPP transport hauler looking at how everyone shares the road with transport trucks which have been described at missiles traveling down the highway.
