Huge online retailer Amazon has announced it’s setting up its first fulfillment centre – in Alberta.
When it opens in the fall of 2018 – the distribution centre in Balzac, near Calgary – will employ 750 people.
The facility is Amazon’s seventh such centre in Canada.
But the major prize would be the retailer’s massive second North American headquarters – with 238 cities in the U-S, Mexico and Canada submitting bids.
Toronto,Calgary, Edmonton,Montreal and Metro Vancouver have all submitted proposals.
