Business is booming for Canada’s homegrown hit musical on Broadway.

The Tony Award-winning “Come From Away” has recouped its $12-million investment in less than eight months on the Great White Way.

The Canadian husband-and-wife duo of Irene Sankoff and David Hein created the show about the people of Gander Newfoundland, who hosted more than 6-thousand strangers in the aftermath of 9-11.  It officially opened on Broadway March 12th and has been playing to standing room only audiences ever since.

The musical returns to Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre, with an all-Canadian cast, in  February of next year.
