Toronto has started gathering feed back on a potential Rail Deck Park over the rail corridor between Bathurst and Blue Jays Way downtown.
Councillor Jim Karigyannis is arguing against a park that could cost $1 billion when the city needs housing and has other priorities including development where the park is planned.
Councillor Joe Cressy argues the city desperately needs more green space downtown and the Rail Deck Park would fill that need.
As far as the $1 billion dollar price tag goes, Cressy says they won’t have a firm cost estimate for another couple of months.
