The child, believed to be between two and three-years-old, was reportedly found around 1:30pm in a car parked in the above ground parking lot of a condo on Mill Road south of Burnhamthorpe Road near the border with Mississauga.
A woman who lives in the building says another resident alerted security after seeing the child in the vehicle.
Security officers then broke a window to remove the infant, who was rushed to a local hospital where doctors were unable to save him.
