Cheri DiNovo, the NDP MPP, who has represented the riding of Parkdale-High Park for 11 years, will not be seeking re-election next year, instead return to her ”true love.”
As of January 1, she’ll be minister at Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre for Faith, Arts and Justice downtown.

”I’m in fact returning to my true love: theology, advocacy and ministry,” said DiNovo, a United Church minister.
Before making the move to politics, she said she was ”privileged to perform the first legalized same-sex marriage,” and later became the only LGBTQ critic in the history of the provincial legislature.
