The Ontario government says it’s spending $200 million dollars over three years – to help provide housing for the homeless.

The government says the money will help find dwellings for those who have experienced chronic homelessness – as well as supporting them with counselling and addiction services.

The city of Toronto will be getting a large share of the cash – amounting to $90 million dollars over three years.

The Wynne government says it will announce funding for more municipalities later in the autumn.
