Andrew Hunter, the Art Gallery of Ontario’s top curator of Canadian art – has resigned today.
The information was contained in an internal memo – and has been confirmed by the AGO.
In a statement, AGO director Stephan Jost praised Hunter’s work – saying he had helped the gallery to think more critically, deeply and compassionately about Canada and the world – and he has made an incredible difference as a result.
