Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Shaw Festival has announced that celebrated British actor, writer and comedian Stephen Fry is confirmed for the 2018 season with a starring role in a story of his own creation.
Fry’s creation “Mythos” brings to life the telling of great myths down through history.
Shaw Festival artistic director Tim Carroll will direct the world premiere of the production during the 2018 season.
Fry was nominated for a Golden Globe for his title role in 1997’s “Wilde.” He’s appeared in the films “Gosford Park” and “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” and played Jeeves to Hugh Laurie’s Bertie on “Jeeves and Wooster” on British Telelvision.
