The Ontario Provincial Police will be on the look out for motorists who don’t obey the “move over” law this holiday weekend..
That’s the law that required motorists to slow down when approaching an emergency vehicle on the side of the highway when its lights are on and to move over a lane if possible.
The Law was enacted after OPP Sergent Marg Eve died after a truck smashed into three OPP cruisers parked on the 401 near Chatham.
The charge carries a 480 dollar fine and three demerit points for a first offense.
