FOUNDING MEMBER OF 'STEPPENWOLF', GOLDY MCJOHN, DIES AT 72

Funeral service is scheduled for next Friday in Seattle for one of the Canadian founding members of the rock band ‘Steppenwolf’.
Keyboardist Goldy McJohn, whose given name was John Goadsby, has died of a heart attack at 72.
McJohn (far left) and lead singer John Kay (centre in above photo) were among the founders of the band which got its start in Toronto with its self-titled debut album in 1968 that included the hits ”Born To Be Wild,” and ”The Pusher.”
‘Steppenwolf’ had made the shortlist to be included in the 2017 induction class for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but was not included.
