83-year-old Domingos Martins is in hospital after police found him behind an industrial building Wednesday morning, five days after he went missing.

Officers located him near 135 Wendell Avenue, about one kilometre from his last known whereabouts.

He went out for his usual short walk near Pelmo Park Public School in the Jane-401 neighbourhood but did not return home.

His family became increasingly concerned, offering a $5,000 reward yesterday.

Martins, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was rushed to hospital by paramedics who says he was in serious condition.
