Bill Cosby’s defence attorney wants off the case – before a November retrial.

The sex assault trial ended with a deadlocked jury.

Lead defence lawyer Brian McMonagle of Philadelphia says Cosby is taking steps to secure new lawyers – for his retrail  on charges that he drugged and molested Andrea Constand – more than a decade ago.

On June 17th prosecutors found themselves having to begin again –   after a judge declared a mistrial – because the jury failed to reach a verdict in more than 52 hours of deliberations.

Cosby, the 80-year-old comedian and actor has said his encounter with the former Temple University worker was consensual.
