College lawyer Megan Shortreed says it was ”heinous and criminal and brings shame on the profession”.
The five member panel has also revoked Wettlaufer’s nursing certificate even though she resigned last September.
She pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of eight seniors, attempted murder of four and aggravated assault of two, all by way of insulin overdoses, between 2007 and 2016.
Wettlaufer’s serving life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
