Arguably the world’s oldest and certainly best known jewel thief has been at it again.

86-year old Doris Payne has been busted for shoplifting at a Walmart in Atlanta – this time while wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet from a previous bust.  She was released on bail but then rearrested and jailed on a probation violation from an earlier theft conviction.

On this latest bust, Doris says thieving was the furthest thing from her mind she simply forgot to pay for the items when she stopped by Walmart to pick up some medicine.

The octogenarian, whose career as an international jewel thief spans six decades, says she took some medicine before she went shopping and it muddled her mind.

The items stolen totaled $86.22.
