FLEETWOOD MAC WINS PRESTIGIOUS INDUSTRY AWARD

They sold over 100 million records and won two Grammys but the music industry is honouring the British-American rock band ‘Fleetwood Mac’ for something else.
It’s the first band named MusiCares Person of the Year for ”their significant creative accomplishments and their longtime support of a number of charitable causes.
Group found Mick Fleetwood called it a ”tremendous” honour.
Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie and Stevie Nicks will be feted at Radio Music City Hall in New York City January 26, 2018 – two days before the Grammy Awards.
MusiCares is part of the Recording Academy that offers financial, medical or personal help to members of the music community.
Past honorees include Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones and Bob Dylan.
