The Toronto Transit Commission is trying an experiment that’s been done before with some success.
The transit agency has started playing classical music inside select subway stations, not only evoke a sense of zen and relaxation, but also to try and keep you safe.
It’s generally believed that playing classical music deters gang activity because it’s just not the music of troubled youth.
The initiative has been used in subway systems across North America and in London, England with mixed success.
