The lone Canadian remaining in singles action at the French Open is through to the round of 16.

Milos Ranic took the first set of his third round match from Spain’s Guillermo Garcia Lopez 6 – 1 this morning.  Garcia Lopez retired after losing the first game of the second set.

Yesterday Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard, who is nursing an ankle sprain, was eliminated in straight sets.
