The Toronto Police Services Board is going to review a controversial program that sees armed police officers patrolling school corridors.

Activist Desmond Cole was at yesterday’s police board meeting arguing that the program targets minorities, those with immigration issues and the disabled who don’t want to have anything to do with a police officer.  He says it’s clear the program needs to end.

In response, the board decided to seek more input with Ryerson University conducting the review.  An interim report is expected by the police board in August.
