The deputy mayor of Vaughan has resigned in the wake of a scathing ethics probe that found him guilty of sexually harassing a city employee.
After a month’s long investigation, Vaughan’s Ethics  Commissioner Suzanne Craig found that Michael Di Biase’s actions constitute sexual harassment and breach the code of ethical conduct.  The commissioner advised the woman to file a complaint with police.
The woman alleged that Di Biase groped her, kissed her and pushed himself against her.  The ethic’s report also included an audio tape, made by the woman in July 2016, in which Di Biase admitted to being sorry and blaming the situation on “temptation.”

Di Biase’s lawyer responded to the allegations by categorically denying any wrongdoing and claiming the deputy mayor was a victim of “entrapment.”
