Mirvish Productions will dim the marquee lights of its four Toronto theatres tonight in tribute to NOW Magazine theatre critic Jon Kaplan.
Kaplan was the founding theatre critic of “Now” a post he held for 36 years until his death April 28th.
David Mirvish called Kaplan was “a true gentleman of the theatre”, instrumental in nurturing the careers of many theatre artists, and even when he was dispensing negative criticism, he was constructive and respectful.
The lights are to be dimmed tonight at 8 pm.
