As if the closure of the York-Bay-Yonge exit on the east-bound Gardiner Expressway isn’t enough there are highway, subway and Go Transit disruptions that will make getting around Toronto this weekend a real challenge.

The Don Valley Parkway will look like the above picture for most of the weekend.  It’s scheduled to close Friday night at 11, in both directions, from the 401 to the Gardiner. City crews will be repairing 800 metres of guardrails, cleaning some 600 catch basins, repaving some sections of roadway as well as replacing lights and signs.  The Parkway reopen Monday morning at 6.

In addition, the TTC is shutting down the Scarborough section of line 3 from McCowan to Kennedy, for track repair Saturday and Sunday.

And for Go Train users, the Barrie GO train line will be shut down to effect repairs at the Maple GO Station.  Buses will be making all stops along that route instead.  And Go Train service along the Lakeshore East line will be reduced to one train an hour Saturday and Sunday.
