He’s taking command of the college to ensure its gets the attention it deserves and does away with practices and activities that have put cadets under unnecessary and harmful stress.
The top general says the problems reflected a period of neglect and were not systemic.
The review, by eight current and retired military officers, found demands on the college’s 1,000 cadets were made worse by recent curriculum changes that divided students and created tensions among staff.
The review did not find any evidence of rampant sexual misconduct.
It also did not look into three recent suicides at the college, which are the subject of a separate military board of inquiry.
