If you were hoping to grab one of Honest Ed’s hand-painted store signs for cheep cheep cheep, you may have missed the boat. It turns out, there is a re-sale market where the signs are marked up, up, up.
Thousands of the distinctive signs were sold off before the landmark store closed at Bathurst and Bloor in December.  But now, if you want to buy a little piece of Toronto history, you’re going to have to dig deep, deep, deep.
Some of the signs have appeared on Kijiji for prices ranging from $20 to $650.
You will also find some for sale at local stores.  A nicely framed sign can set you back up to $500 dollars; a pretty good return on investment considering this signs sold last year for a few dollars each.
