A dual Canadian-Kazakh national, two Russian Federal Security Service officers and a third Russian man, have been named by Washington as being the ones behind the hack of at least half-a-billion Yahoo user accounts in 2014.
22-year-old Karim Baratov was arrested Tuesday in Ancaster by Toronto Police who turned him over to the RCMP.
American officials say Baratov also used the names Kay, Karim Taloverov and Karim Akehmet Tokbergenov.
The U.S. government has also charged 33-year-old Russian intelligence (FSB) agents Dmitry Aleksandrovich Dokuchaev and 43-year-old Igor Anatolyevich Sushchin along with 29-year-old Russian national Alexsey Alexseyevich Belan.

Yahoo did not reveal the breach in 2014 until last September when it began notifying at least 500-million users that their personal information may have been stolen.
Three months later, Yahoo said it had uncovered a separate data breach in 2013 affecting about 1-billion accounts, including some also hacked in 2014.
