A suburban Philadelphia judge has ruled that a jury will hear the sexual assault case against Bill Cosby.
Judge Stephen O’Neill says the jury will be chosen from outside the Philadelphia area – and will be sequestered throughout the trial.
Lawyers for Cosby had tried to have the 79-year-old’s trial moved out of the Philadelphia suburbs – because of worldwide media reports that brand the TV star as “a serial rapist.”
Cosby is set to go on trial June 5th – after accusations that he drugged and molested a former Temple University employee – at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court will decide where in the state the jurors will be selected.
