Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s called votes for his predecessor’s riding of Calgary Heritage as well as Calgary Midnapore, which was held by one-time Harper cabinet minister Jason Kenney.
Kenny’s currently seeking the leadership of the Alberta PC party.
Byelections will also be held in the Montreal riding of Saint-Laurent and the Toronto-area riding of Markham-Thornhill.
Those became vacant after Stephane Dion and John McCallum received diplomatic posts as part of last month’s cabinet shuffle.
In addition, the prime minister called an April 3 byelection for Ottawa-Vanier last weekend. It’s been vacant since last summer’s death of Liberal Mauril Belanger from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The five votes will be the final ones fought by interim Tory Leader Rona Ambrose before she hands over the reins to one of 14 contenders vying for the Conservative leadership at a convention May 27.
