There’s an Environment Canada Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect this morning as Toronto receives a wet snow-rain mix. Accumulations could be anywhere from a trace in the south by Lake Ontario to as much as 8 centimetres father north.
“This is the fourth major event. We had two major snow plowings already for the season. We’re now in the second round of salting for today and we’ll continue to monitor the weather,” said Trevor Tenn of the City of Toronto’s road operations just after 7:30 this morning.
Once the system moves out, it’ll be a mainly cloudy day with a 60 percent chance of flurries.
