The aging Zoomer population is creating a so called “tsunami of seniors” which means the need for accessible, barrier free properties will continue to grow.
barrier-freeA Toronto real estate company that specializes in barrier-free properties says demand is already up.   A spokesperson for the Centre of Independent Living Toronto says developers should be incorporating accessibility into their designs.
In the absence of that, realtors suggest that money spent on accessibility renovations is a good investment.
Those considered true baby boomers now range in from 52 to 70 years old.
