Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet will have to wait a bit longer to  receive the findings of a task force – studying the legalization of marijuana.

It seems to be lost in translation.

The team behind the report says it will be given to ministers and the public when it is in available in both English and French – and that’s expected to take another two weeks.

The project will update the Liberal government – as it looks ahead to bringing in legislation to legalize weed – by spring of next year.

Some key questions are facing the government as it approaches a legalized regime including – the best minimum age for legal purchase, taxation and pricing – as well as advertising and marketing restrictions.

The Task force chair is Anne McLellan – a former Liberal public safety minister.

The vice-chair is Dr. Mark Ware. He and McLellan say the group spoke with a number of ordinary Canadians – who shared their views on how to approach the issue.

They also gathered information from visits to Colorado and Washington – two U.S. states where cannabis is legal.
