The premier will only say there’s a plan to help first-time buyers but that it includes only a ”small change,” not some drastic shift in the way the housing market works in the province.
Kathleen Wynne says those looking to purchase their first home face a real challenge saving enough to get into the market, so the Liberals will make ”some small adjustments” to help them out.
She adds the province does not have all the numbers needed to make larger changes but insists Ontario will not follow B.C., which slapped a 15% tax on foreign buyers in Vancouver.
