The Royal Conservatory’s “Music on Film” program kicked off last night in Toronto with the Oscar nominated Documentary “Great Day in Harlem”

“Music on Film” is a joint project between the Conservatory and Hot Docs and is now in its fifth year of bringing music documentaries about jazz and classical music to wider audiences.

Other docs in the series include “Exit: Music” about five Jewish composers who fled the Third Reich and “What Would Beethoven Do?” featuring classical musicians revolutionizing the genre.

“Exit: Music”  makes it world premier November 29th at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema
