The Zoomers’ group CARP says news that a former nurse is charged with the murders of eight long-term care residents in Woodstock and London highlights ”the ongoing societal issue of abuse of our elderly citizens.”
CARP says, in a statement, it ”recognizes the tremendous care that thousands of nurses and personal support workers provide” in facilities across the country.
The group goes on to say the eradication of the victimization of our vulnerable seniors continues to be one of its top priorities.
Seven of the victims lived at Caressant Care in Woodstock; the other resided at Meadow Park in London.
