Americans like us (they really like us)! In fact, our neighbours to the south like us more than either main presidential candidate and even the current president.
In a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll of a thousand registered voters in the U.S., Americans were asked not only for their opinions on the candidates, the political parties and the news media, but their opinion on their Canadian neighbours.
The results show Republican candidate Donald Trump was at 28 percent positive, 61 percent negative. Democratic rival Hillary Clinton was at 37 percent positive, 52 percent negative. U.S. president Barrack Obama was at 51 percent positive, 39 percent negative. But Canada wins the contest with 75 percent of Americans having a positive view of Canada, while just 3 percent had a negative view.
