Zoomer acting legend Dame Maggie Smith has accepted Jimmy Kimmel’s challenge for her Emmy from Sunday night’s award show.
The 81-year-old won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Violet Crawley on “Downton Abbey” which airs on our sister station Vison TV.
She wasn’t able to attend the ceremony and was also absent in 2011 and 2012 when she also won for best supporting actress.
Awards show host Jimmy Kimmel quipped that they weren’t going to mail the statue to England and that if Smith wanted it, she could find it in the lost and found.
She’s coming for the statue. Yesterday Smith tweeted “If Mr. Kimmel could please direct me to the lost and found office. I will try and be on the next flight.
