British bookies are taking odds on who is going to replace Daniel Craig as the next 007.

Tom Hughes is the name being bandied about.  He apparently caught the eye of producer Barbara Broccoli when he played an MI5 operative in the BBC Cold War thriller “The Game.”

The 30-year-old is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and is described as a serious ”method actor ” who is now widely hailed as the acting world s next big thing.

For his most recent role as Prince Albert in the BBC’s” Victoria” he apparently learned to play a Beethoven piano sonata.

Other actors rumoured to be in the mix include Aidan Turner, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba .
