Talks continue to avert a work-to-rule campaign by Canada Post workers.

Negotiators with Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have agreed once again on a 24-hour extension of mediated talks aimed at resolving a long-standing labour dispute. The new deadline is midnight tonight.

This is second time threatened job action by CUPW has been put off for an additional day at the request of a federally appointed mediator.

The latest decision to extend mediation came after e-commerce giant eBay urged Canadian businesses yesterday to write to the prime minister and demand a legislated end to the labour dispute.
