The race for the White House has reached fever pitch as the candidates attack each other over the issue of race.

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton devoted an entire speech in Nevada on Thursday to depicting Republican rival Donald Trump as a racist. She referenced a 1973 newspaper story, when Trump was fighting a federal lawsuit for refusing to rent apartments to black people.

And Trump continues to insist that Clinton is a bigot, saying she and her policies are “totally bigoted”.

Trump has started pushing for the black and Hispanic votes under the unorthodox headline, “What have you got to lose?”

In response, Clinton said, it really does take a lot of nerve to ask people he’s ignored and mistreated for decades, what do you have to lose, because “the answer is everything.”
