LEONARD COHEN'S FORMER MUSE - MARIANNE IHLEN, DIES

She was the one who inspired two of Zoomer music icon Leonard Cohen’s biggest hits – ”Bird on a Wire” and ”So Long, Marianne.”
Marianne Ihlen has died of leukemia at the age of 81.
The couple dated in the 1960s after meeting on the Greek island of Hydra.

After learning she was ill, the 81-year-old Cohen wrote an emotional letter in tribute to her.
It was read to her by a close friend just before she died.
Cohen requested the letter also be read at Ihlen’s funeral.
