And it appears it is not.
Reports surfaced that after decades of sunny days, Sesame Street was letting go longtime three longtime stars – Bob ”Bob” McGrath, Emilio ”Luis” Delgado and Roscoe ”Gordon” Orman.
Sesame Street 3
Popular with generations of youngsters, many now parents or grandparents themselves, the series is being retooled as it’ll now be live and reduced from one-hour to half-an-hour.
McGrath, who’s 84, is only one of two who’ve been with the show since it started in 1969.
He played a singing music teacher.
The 76-year-old Delgado joined two years later while Orman took over the character of Gordon in 1974.
Delgado was the fix-it shop handyman while Orman’s character was a school teacher.
But the children’s show says, contrary to those reports, all three will continue to appear on Sesame Street, which beginning this year, is airing on HBO as well as PBS.
