Yesterday, it was the west end – as a plan was announced for four new GO  stations in the city.
Today, Toronto mayor John Tory and Ontario Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca moved to the east end – to announce four more new transit stations.

Del Duca was joined by Tory and other dignitaries at the East Harbour – near the base of the Don Valley Parkway and Lake Shore Boulevard..

The minister said two of the stations will be built in Scarborough – along Finch and along Lawrence on the Stouville GO corridor.
One will be built in Riverdale near Gerrard and Carlaw – and one of the new stations will be built on the old Unilever site – helping to service the future development of East Harbour.
Service will eventually be in operation every 10 minutes or less – once the tracks are electrified by 2024.
