An online video of Einaudi’s Elegy for The Arctic has been posted by the composer and Greenpeace – the environmental action watchdog which transported the composer to the Arctic aboard its ship Sunrise.
The footage is punctuated at several points by massive chunks of a melting glacier – crashing into the ocean as he plays.
The iceberg stage drifted alongside a glacier in Norway – as Einaudi added his unique voice to those around the world – demanding protection for the Arctic.
