The jury in the Hamilton murder trial of Tim Bosma has found both accused guilty of first-degree murder.
The verdict, delivered shortly after 3pm Friday after more than 4-and-half-days of deliberations, means the jurors believe both 30-year-old Dellen Millard of Toronto and 28-year-old Mark Smich of Oakville planned to kill the Ancaster father.
The conviction carries an automatic lfie sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.
Millard and Smich had pleaded not guilty.
Smich testified it was his co-accused who shot Bosma and burned his body in an incinerator, while Millard’s lawyer suggested Smich shot Bosma in a struggle inside his truck.
The 32-year-old Bosma disappeared May 6, 2013 after taking two men for a test drive of the truck he was trying to sell.
