Professor Sam Barrett (on the left) has spent the past two decades researching a song repertory from the 11th century called “Songs of Consolation”.  With the help of professional musician Benjamin Bagby (on the right), Barrett has successfully reconstructed about 90 percent of the lost melody from “Songs of Consolation”.
It’s based on the life of Roman philosopher Boethius.
