As the brother of the late Toronto mayor showed up to see PC MPP Lisa MacLeod, Doug Ford called it nothing more than a casual meeting between friends.
”I’m not here for the politics, I’m just focused on the family right now,” Ford said.
There’s speculation the former city councillor might be mulling over taking a run at the party nomination for Scarborough-Rouge River.
Liberal Bas Balkisson resigned the seat last month.
MacLeod says she has ”no idea” if Ford’s interested in taking a run at provincial politics – his late father Doug Senior was a member of the Mike Harris government.
Ford’s also been encouraged to run in his brother’s now-vacant city council seat, that he held while brother Rob was mayor.
