Instead of the fall, changes to fundraising rules in Ontario will be coming this spring.
The PCs and NDP spent question period Monday attacking the Liberals for holding expensive, exclusive fundraising dinners and receptions for lobbyists.
Tory leader Patrick Brown says giving cabinet ministers fundraising quotas forces them to raise money from lobbyists and groups with active files in their ministries.
The premier responded by saying the promise she made last week to introduce changes to rules this fall will be moved up to the spring.
Kathleen Wynne told the legislature Ontario will follow the federal lead and ban corporate and union donations to political parties.
She’s also agreed to meet this week with Brown and NDP leader Andrea Horwath to talk about the proposed changes.
